Flower Festival

Wimborne St Giles holds a Flower Festival every year with a theme running through the arrangements. Discussing the theme is one of the decisions made early in the year. This year we have settled on ‘I AM_________‘

Unusual, yes, but a definite challenge! The results include ‘I am the Light of the World’ from St John’s Gospel,’I am a painter’, ‘I am a Flower Arranger’ and lots more!

The dates are SATURDAY JULY 7th, SUNDAY JULY 8th and MONDAY JULY 9th. The Church is open for viewing from 10am—6pm.

We welcome THE DORSET POLICE MALE VOICE CHOIR who are giving a concert amongst the flowers on SATURDAY JULY 7th starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are available now at just £10.00, this includes a glass of wine out on the Village Green during the interval.

We also welcome ‘WIMBORNE VOICES’, an a-cappella close harmony group who will be singing from the Church balcony from 2pm on SUNDAY JULY 8th.

Songs of Praise is our evening Sunday Service at 6pm, led by the Rector, Rev Robert Simpson

Wimborne St Giles is renowned for its teas in the Village Hall and over the weekend we shall be serving refreshments from 11am—5pm.

All proceeds from the Flower Festival are given to the Church to keep up the maintenance of this beautiful Church. There is no entry fee but we hope you will be generous!
